The Malta Institute of Accountants recently held a social event for its members to get to know each other better and network within their profession.

The event was a barbecue held at the Royal Malta Yacht Club in Msida.

Subsidised by the institute, it attracted 300 members, who were welcomed to the imposing backdrop of Marsamxett Harbour and had time to network before taking a seat and enjoying a roast. Entertainment was provided by Simon Vella and his band. A raffle raised €820 in aid of charity, which was rounded off to €1,000 by the institute.

“These social events have become such an excellent networking opportunity that we all drag our feet to leave when the time is up. A big thank you goes to the social committee who brainstormed for a formula that works,” said president Anthony Doublet.
