The Malta Cultural Institute is today presenting its eighth concert of the season, featuring Armonia Mediterranea Chamber Ensemble under the direction of André Paul Huber.

This young conductor and composer founded this orchestra originally as a string ensemble but it has grown beyond that. It is made up mostly of youngsters and some more experienced players.

During the evening, soloists baritone Joseph Huber and violinist Chantelle Borg will be accompanied by the orchestra.

A special attraction will be the peformance by young musicians Carlyann Muscat, Maria Bellia, Eleonor Borg, Liam Block, Emma Bondin and Julian Carter from St Benedict College, Kirkop.

A small donation at the door, to help cover some of the expenses of the evening, would be appreciated.

• The concert is being held in the ballroom of the Imperial Hotel in Sliema today at 7pm.

The MCI May exhibition will be featuring works of Maltese lace by Marylene Borg.

More information may be obtained by phoning the MCI director on 2133 8923 or 9980 0409, or by sending an e-mail to maltacultinst@gmail.com .
