The employee of a lotto booth in Luqa was robbed yesterday evening just after closing shop.

Police sources said she was about to get into a car when she was pushed by a Maltese-speaking man who made off with her pouch.

The police said it contained €950 in cash and about €250 worth of mobile top-ups and scratch-offs.

The robber was unarmed. The victim was uninjured but in a state of shock, the police added.

The incident took place in Triq Dun Ġużepp Micallef at about 7pm.
