Maltese alternative rock band Cable35 is currently on the road to promote its debut album.

The 16-track album Louder was released during the summer and has been very well-received by critics and fans alike.

One of Malta’s most-travelled bands, Cable35’s latest tour kicked off two weeks ago with a gig in Catania, following which the band went on to perform in Milan, Berlin and The Hague.

Two days ago, the band played in the Belgian city of Oostende, their last European mainland gig before heading off to the UK for the second part of the tour.

With just a few days of rest in hand, band members Jeff, Chris and Kriz will be start-ing a fresh string of live dates in Britain this Friday at Birmingham’s Moseley Arms.

Confirmed UK dates include performances in Worcester, Devon, Glasgow, Leicester and four gigs at renowned London venues The Good Ship, Dublin Castle, Water Rats and Buffalo Bar, with more dates expected to be added along the way.

Cable35 first emerged onto the Maltese music scene via some highly energetic live performances some years back, going on to make their presence felt with the release of their debut EP in 2007.

Two years later, they released a second EP, Hygiene, which marked a rawer, more alternative direction on the band’s part.

This year’s debut full-length release confirmed their in-clination towards old-school grunge-induced alternative rock peppered with a punk attitude and unique melodies.
