The best word to describe the past academic year is an ‘adventure’. I expanded my horizons as a student beyond my initial expectations and it was a fulfilling experience.

I’m glad summer has arrived because I can now work on my own projects at my own pace, rather than having to meet deadlines.

In the holidays I want to keep practising what I’ve learnt during the year, and do more of my own research to be able to get back to lectures in October at my best.

I will also be doing voluntary work as the smiles I see on the different faces are always a huge reward for all the effort it takes. In fact, we should all do voluntary work, at least once in a while. Redeemer Caruana, Mcast-Btec Higher National Diploma in Interactive Media, Mcast Institute of Information and Communication Technology, 1st year.

The past academic year was a wonderful experience. Learning new skills and techniques to create an interactive product required a lot of commitment, but the end result was remarkable. I enjoyed every minute of it and am looking forward to continuing my studies.

I am glad summer finally arrived. At the same time, even though there were weeks when the coursework deadline pressures increased, I feel I don’t want to stop working on my projects – any task related to interactive media is what I love best.

Throughout summer I am planning to balance enjoying free time with friends and family with continuing to work on improving my skills in areas related to my studies in interactive media. Jeanette Cutajar, Mcast-Btec Higher National Diploma in Interactive Media, Mcast Institute of Art and Design, 1st year.

This past year was very fulfilling, especially since it’s the course I’ve always wanted to do. It was very busy, and it passed by really quickly, but every second was worth it.

I don’t want to sound nerdy, but I can’t wait for University to start again even though summer has only just started! I mostly plan to work and study.

I would also like to start doing voluntary work. As long as it is within my field of study, I would be more than glad to oblige. Daniela Said, BA (Hons) Music Studies and Psychology, 1st year.
