A panoramic calendar (17 x 50 cm) about Malta and Gozo, with photographs and design by Daniel Cilia, has been awarded a prize for best produced calendar for 2012 in a competition held between commercial printers of central Italy.
The award was given for the photography and for the innovative new design incorporating all the public holidays of Malta, France, Germany, Canada, US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Italy, Spain and Russia. The photographs in the calendar feature Mdina, Auberge de Castille, the Hypogeum, Mtaħleb, Ta’ Pinu, Mġiebaħ Bay, the feast of Paola, the Blue Lagoon, Marsaxlokk harbour, Grand Harbour, St John’s Co-Cathedral and Dwejra’s Azure Window.
The printers of the calendar, Nova Arti Grafiche of Signa, Firenze, received the prize.
