Valletta mayor Alexiei Dingli presented awards to the winners of the Valletta Living History drawing competition at the Embassy Complex in the capital recently.

The presentation took place at the Kids Area on Level 2 of the Embassy Complex which housed an exhibition of over 1,000 drawings by children who took part in this initiative. The theme was to draw a picture of a Knight of St John.

The first prize, €100 voucher from ESL Gross Market of Żabbar, went to Katya Saliba, who attends the Gozo College Girls’ Secondary in Victoria.

The second prize went to Jeremy Vassallo of St Nicholas College’s Mġarr primary school, who won a €50 gift voucher to spend at the Embassy Complex in Valletta.

Form 1 Red of Stella Maris College won the Best Class Effort award and was given a voucher entitling the whole class to a day out at the Embassy Cinemas to see a film of their choice.

Valletta Living History is a 35-minute docudrama depicting the history, culture and lifestyle of Malta and the Maltese.

Produced and screened in high definition, the show has in a short period received recognition for its quality, and has recently been awarded a Quality Assured seal by the Malta Tourism Authority.

Valletta Living History is screened daily at the Embassy Complex in Valletta.
