Mariestell Dalli has won the Lino Buttigieg Prize for 2017. The prize is awarded by the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners to the student who achieves the top grade in the IFSP Foundation Certificate in Trusts Law and Management exam. The IFSP Council set up the prize to honour the memory of Lino Buttigieg, who as a member of the IFSP Council and chair of the IFSP’s education subcommittee, was instrumental in first establishing the course in 2003. Ms Dalli received a copy of the book The International Trust, edited by the Hon. Justice David Hayton. The picture shows Ms Dalli (right) receiving the prize from IFSP president Juanita Bencini. Ms Dalli, a Bachelor of Accountancy graduate, was appointed a manager at Alter Domus in June 2017, a few weeks before sitting the examination.
