A 33-year-old Libyan man suffered grievous facial injuries but is not in danger of dying after he was hit by a tool, possibly a hammer, in an argument yesterday.

The incident happened at about 1.30pm in Mountbatten Street, outside the Blata l-Bajda Girls Secondary School where refurbishment works are in progress. The school forms part of the San Ġorġ Preca College.

The victim, who lives in St Paul’s Bay, identified his attacker to police who arrested him.
