A  free, two-hour lecture on menopause will be held today at 6.30pm at St Francis Medical Centre, Naxxar.

The lecture, by Laura Peischl, an integrative nutrition health coach and a specialised menopause health practitioner from Vienna, Austria, will focus on women who are putting on weight easily, feeling more tired and becoming depressed or anxious.

Feeling warm all the time, craving sugar and unhealthy processed carbs or experiencing heavier or less regular periods can be signs of the body indicating that the person is slowly approaching menopause.

In her lecture, Peischl will explain what is going on in the body, the most common symptoms and, most importantly, how one can adjust one’s nutritional intake and lifestyle to reduce them. Natural remedies that work for specific symptoms will also be shown.

The lecture on menopause is being held today at 6.30pm at St Francis Medical Centre, Naxxar. To register, send an e-mail to laura@theresponsibleeater.com.
