Celtic manager Neil Lennon confirmed yesterday that he has signed a new 12-month rolling contract with the Glasgow club.

The Northern Irishman, who succeeded Tony Mowbray on an interim basis in March 2010, led the club to the Scottish Cup title last season but they had to settle for second place in the Scottish Premier League after finishing one point behind Rangers.

“I am absolutely delighted to agree this new contract with the club. I have had 10 great years connected to Celtic and I hope to enjoy many more,” said Lennon.

“Clearly this is down to me and I will be doing everything I possibly can to ensure we bring our fans more success.”
