In-form Lazio will have an extra spring in their step when they take to the Stadio Olimpico pitch to face Empoli tomorrow.

The Roman outfit clinched a spot in the final of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday with 1-0 victory over Napoli, a result which sealed a 2-1 triumph on aggregate.

Lazio will now face Juventus in the Coppa final on June 7.

Senad Lulic, the Lazio midfielder who scored the winning goal on Wednesday, said: “It was important to reach the final. Juve are the strongest team in Italy but I think if we continue to play as we are doing we will have a chance in the final.”

Lazio will try to win for the eighth consecutive game in Serie A this weekend. They are third in the standings, 15 points behind Juve but just one point adrift of Roma.

“We are doing great and we want to finish as high as possible in the Serie A standings,” Lulic continued.

Juve go into today’s game at bottom-side Parma after one of their most impressive performances of the season.

Massimo Allegri’s side hit back from a first-leg defeat with a 3-0 triumph at Fiorentina to reach the Italian Cup final.

Allegri is expected to make some changes to his team in view of next week’s Champions League quarter-final first leg tie against Monaco.

Roma, who have won their last two Serie A games, play at Torino tomorrow.

Champions League hopefuls Napoli and Fiorentina will try to bounce back from their Coppa Italia disappointments when they face each other at the San Paolo stadium in Naples.

Fiorentina are fourth in the standings and six points adrift of Lazio, who hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.

Napoli are winless in their last five league games and have dropped to sixth, two points behind Fiorentina.

Milan host Sampdoria tomorrow looking to make it three wins on the trot, something they have failed to do all season.

The Rossoneri beat Cagliari and Palermo in the last two rounds to climb to eighth.

Genoa, without a win since February 15, host second-bottom Cagliari. Inter, level on 38 points with Genoa, have not won in their last five games as they prepare to face Verona.

Palermo looking for their first win on the road since November 2 at Udinese, while Chievo – 10 points above the relegation zone and 16th in the table – play at 18th-placed Cesena, who are four points away from safety.
