Italian singer Laura Pausini will be performing in Malta on August 1. The concert, part of Pausini’s Inedito 2012 World Tour, will be held in the open air grounds of the MFCC, Ta’ Qali.

The upcoming tour promises to be a spectacular show

This will be Pausini’s second visit to Malta, after a successful concert at the Luxol Grounds in 2009.

The upcoming tour promises to be a spectacular show and is directed by Marco Balich, creator of the Winter Olympics’ ceremonies in Turin in 2006 and the inauguration of the Juventus stadium last summer.

The set is designed by Mark Fisher, who has worked with Pink Floyd and U2, while the lighting is by Patrick Woodroffe, designer for artists like Bob Dylan and AC/DC, Depeche Mode and Michael Jackson’s aborted This is It.

Ever since winning the 1993 edition of the Sanremo festival with La Solitudine, she has sold over 45 million albums throughout the world, winning three Latin Grammy Awards.

Pausini’s success has not just been limited to Italy, but has seen her strike gold in countries such as France and The Netherlands.

Concert details will be released shortly.
