‘Design at the KGV’ is set to take place on Friday at the King George V Gardens – a stunning garden in Floriana with views of the Grand Harbour.

The event mixes design with fashion and aims to provide a platform for local talent.

It will start at 9 p.m. with‘Fabrics’ by Moveo Dance Company, choreography and direction by Dorian Mallia.

A catwalk of some of Malta’s emerging designers is next, followed by fashion designers Charles and Ron – with their latest collection.

There will also be a blow-up photographic exhibition, with the subjects being fashion, architecture, graphic and print design. Stalls displaying handmade costume jewellery will dot the garden.

A laidback atmosphere will be created by cushions, bistro tables, stools, food and drinks. DJs will be adding to the mood.

This is part of the wider EU project ‘Gardmed – The Network of Mediterranean Gardens’, aimed at promoting Floriana’s gardens, through themed events.

The event is open to the general public and entrance is free.
