The 38th edition of the L-Għanja tal-Poplu festival will be held on March 15 at the University of Malta’s Sir Temi Zammit Hall in Msida.
This was announced by the festival’s organising committee earlier this month, along with news of the prizes being awarded to those artists or acts placing in the first three.
The winning act will receive a trophy and €1,000, the first runner-up will get a trophy and €600, while the second runner-up will receive a trophy and €400.
The artist or band that wins the Best Singer-Songwriter award will also receive €500.
Authors, composers, songwriters, artists and bands are invited to submit their songs by January 24.
Participation is against payment of a fee of €25, and there is no limit to the number of songs that each participant may submit.
