Maltese nationals travelling to Kuwait no longer need to apply for a visa before travelling but will now receive one upon arrival.

This was agreed upon following a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Tonio Borg and the Emir Sabah IV Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in Kuwait last June.

More than 150 Kuwaiti students are studying at the University of Malta.

Malta opened an embassy in Kuwait last month after the opening of an embassy by Kuwait in Malta.
