I write with reference to the article and photograph carried in The Sunday Times of Malta (June 16), regarding the re-internment of the late King Peter II of Yugoslavia, and I am grateful to you for printing this news.

However in your article, it is stated that the Constitution which the king gave to the Russian Grand Priory is still in possession and treasured by the Russian Grand Priory.

With respect, the Constitution of the Order of St John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller, which was issued by the king in 1964, and which eventually was sent by the king to my father, was in fact placed by my father, through the person of the late Bailiff Marquis Godwin Drago d’Aragona, with the Public Library in Valetta, and there-fore now belongs to the Maltese public.

Any person can obtain a notarised copy by applying to the notary who is in charge of obtaining such copies. The name of the notary can be obtained from the curator of the public library. Indeed, I myself, have, over a period of time, paid for several copies to send to my many friends around the world, and other knights who have shown interest.

It also saddens me to read that although my late beloved father is mentioned in this article, there is only a reference to the king raising money for the purchase of the house in St Paul Street, Valletta. Indeed, it was my father who collected all the money that was needed to buy that house. However, that is not to saythe king did not donate a certain sum for this purpose.
