The second term from the Kick Football Academy season kicked off this week at the Melita FC Sports Complex.

During the Christmas break, the football school held a three-day training camp which was attended by 70 players from various age groups. They were under the expert handling of renowned coaches Carmel Busuttil, John Buttigieg and Josef Mansueto.

During the training camp the youngsters also had the opportunity to play alongside national team players and special guests Michael Mifsud, Andrew Cohen and keeper Andrew Hogg.

Headed by Busuttil, the second term at the Kick Football Academy training programme will run on an updated programme aiming to improve players’ technical abilities and skills.

With the help of qualified coaches, the Academy will continue to offer professional football training sessions touching on various topics including nutrition, football psychology and behaviour on and off the pitch.
