KPMG will be organising a one-day conference on November 26 with the theme ‘Shaping the Future of Financial Services in Malta: Delivering in 2020’.

“With the eurozone officially out of recession, the outlook for the coming decade seems positive and encouraging even if much work still needs to be done.

“Although the financial services industry may still be experiencing the after-effects of the crisis, it should be looking at bouncing back with growth and innovation. But the challenges are still there and with tighter regulation in place to avoid future crashes and crises, the financial services sector in Malta needs to keep planning and shaping the road ahead,” KPMG said.

The conference will look at how to prepare for the next decade and beyond by shaping – to Malta’s benefit – all that is happening and is expected to happen in the next years.

KPMG in Malta has brought together top foreign and local KPMG speakers, including Giles Williams, Brian Dilley, Giuseppe Niolu and Brian Morrissey, to discuss various issues including, banking, funds and insurance regulation, anti-bribery and corruption, mergers and acquisitions and financial reporting.

Senior people from KPMG in Malta, MFSA and the Central Bank, will be contributing to the debate and discussion.
