The comment in the editorial If Lady Justice Were To Lose Its Blindfold (November 26), quoting the president of the Chamber of Advocates who complained that it was “absolutely unacceptable” that 1,000 court cases have been awaiting judgement for more than 18 months, brought a wry smile to my face.

The National Bank shareholders’ case against the government has been going on and off for well over 35 years. The case has been passed on from one judge to another without a judgement appearing on the horizon.

How about that for justice denied?
