The resident choir at the Cathedral in Mdina is made up of three sopranos, including myself, and a tenor. On the occasion of the Jubilee of Mercy Mass, a number of singers were brought in to ‘help out’.

I wish to apologise for the horrific production of the Panis Angelicus and other pieces that were sung. We, the sopranos of the Mdina resident choir were overcome by the shouting-style, note-lengthening and out of tune singing of the female singers that were brought in.

This is not the quality of singing that we, the members of the resident choir of the Mdina Cathedral, normally produce.
