Bank of Valletta recently hosted a party for the BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir. The 200 choir members were the guests of honour, along with the helpers, without whom organising the August 1 concert on the Floriana Granaries would not have been impossible.

The famous Maltese tenor, together with soprano Gilian Zammit and singer Gianluca Bezzina also attended the reception, which was hosted in the internal street of the BOV head office in Santa Venera.

The choir’s participation has now become one of the trademarks of the summer concert, which continues to grow in popularity year after year, not only locally but also internationally.

It was a rewarding experience to see the children’s happy, carefree faces.

The children were also in for a surprise. They were each given a commemorative photo of a special moment during the concert, complete with a specially designed folder for keepsake.

Although the experience itself was a memorable one, this gesture was a sign of the bank’s appreciation for the commitment of the children and their parents in attending rehearsals as well as for their impeccable performance on the big day.

This reception brought to fruition two important aspects of the endorsement signed by Joseph Calleja and Bank of Valletta earlier on this year: namely, the BOV Joseph Calleja Choir and the Joseph Calleja concert.

Now, many eagerly await the launch of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation. Planned to be inaugurated later on this year, this foundation will focus on helping Maltese families in need.
