Brazilian striker Joselito is set to join Premier League club Balzan on a short-term deal.

Joselito has been out of contract since ending his one-year spell with Birkirkara in May. After a promising start, Joselito missed most of last season with an ankle injury that required surgery.

Balzan have now given Joselito the chance to revive his career after offering him a contract. Joselito is expected to complete his move to Balzan today.

Now under the guidance of Jesmond Zerafa, Balzan moved up to seventh in the Premier League table last weekend after ending a five-match losing streak with a 2-1 win over Qormi.
