Full-time employment went up by 2.6 per cent in August while part-time workers rose by 4.6 per cent when compared with the previous year, according to National Statistics Office figures.
Over one year the labour supply increased by 2.9 per cent, reaching 165,187. This was attributed to increases in the gainfully occupied population of 3,995 and in registered unemployment of 636.
The number of part-timers who also held a full-time job was 24,427 people, increasing by four per cent over 2012.
