British popstar Jessie J is the latest addition to the line-up for Isle of MTV, the free music extravaganza taking place on June 26.

The singer will join fellow UK sensation Rita Ora and dance collective Rudimental to rock 50,000 fans at the Floriana Granaries, with more acts still to be announced.

Do It Like A Dude singer Jessie J has an unconventional musical style that mixes soul vocals with contemporary R&B, pop, electro-pop and hip-hop beats.

The feisty songstress won a 2011 BRIT Award and the BBC’s Sound of 2011 gong.

She has sold more than 11 million singles and 2.5 million albums worldwide.

“I would love to see you in the crowd in Malta at the Isle of MTV. Let’s party and go wild,” Jessie J said.

She had performed a rousing version of Queen’s We Will Rock You with legendary guitarist Brian May during the closing ceremony of the London Olympics last summer.

Isle of MTV, delivered through a partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, is now in its seventh year.

The open-air concert will be filmed and broadcast as a 60-minute special across MTV’s channels and platforms around the world.

Previous additions have seen global acts such as Will.i.am, Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, The Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO perform in Malta.
