This harmless jellyfish species is roaming Maltese waters, something environmentalist Alan Deidun considers anomalous.

The crystal or multi-ribbed jellyfish is not usually found around the islands, however, the Spot the Jellyfish team has this year received a large number of reports of this non-stinging species. The team first recorded this jellyfish in 2010, when a single specimen was caught off Daħlet Qorrot in Gozo.
