A number of Air Malta flights to Italy might be hit by a general strike in Italy today.

The strike, called by one of Italy’s main trade unions, will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will also affect air traffic, Air Malta said.

Should the strike take place, the following Air Malta flights to and from Italy will operate as follows: KM612 Malta-Reggio-Rome will depart Malta at 7.10 a.m. and leave Reggio Calabria to Rome at 8.45 a.m.; KM613 Rome-Malta will leave Fiumicino airport after 2 p.m. once the strike is over; KM624 Malta-Milan will depart Malta at 12.15 p.m. and is expected to land in Malta at 5.10 p.m.

KM614/5 Malta-Rome-Reggio-Malta will not be affected.

Air Malta urged travellers to contact flight enquiries at Malta International Airport on 5004 3333 or the airline’s call centre on 2166 2211 for further information about arrival and departure times.
