Island Caterers have teamed up with Ta’ Frenċ restaurant in Gozo to add the island to its list of prestigious venues.

Ta’ Frenċ Restaurant is set in an authentic old farmhouse surrounded by the beautiful country views of Xagħra, Żebbuġ and Marsalforn valley.

On entering the courtyard, one can see the herb garden used by the kitchen brigade. Other products used at Ta’ Frenċ are bread baked in-house, sun-dried salt from the salt pans in Xwejni and pure Gozitan honey.

The restaurant’s owners made a considerable investment in olive trees. Imported from Sicily, the trees are found in a new grove close to the restaurant.

Ta’ Frenċ restaurant’s walls are adorned with works of art by local artists and a collection of traditional Maltese clocks. A collection of decanters are displayed in niches on the walls.

An extensive and award-winning range of wines is kept in a cellar, which is available for private dining. The latest innovation is house champagne bottled especially for the restaurant by Boizel.

Burns’ Night dinner at Ta’ Frenċ

A special Burns’ Night dinner will be held on Saturday at Ta’ Frenċ, where one can taste cock-a-leekie and malt whisky cured salmon as well as enjoy the piping-in of the haggis for €50 per person.
