The hunters’ lobby recently had a front-page advertisement on Times of Malta in connection with the hunting referendum. It showed a young man holding his pretty, smiling girlfriend (March 16).

Another one of their ads showed a couple with their child.

Neither of the ads depicted hunters shooting birds.

The hunters’ adverts make me more determined than ever to vote ‘No’ in the referendum. I urge others who prefer to see birds live rather than be shot dead by Malta’s hunters to do the same.
