Malta Enterprise last year approved 23 projects that will invest €133.2 million and provide 600 jobs over the next three years.

Answering a parliamentary question by Charles Mangion (PL), Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said that eight of the projects were foreign.

The corporation also approved the expansion of 16 other projects leading to an investment of €33.6 million. In the next three years these are expected to create an additional 300 jobs.

The minister said Malta Enterprise had also issued 540 tax credit certificates to SMEs employing less than 10 people, which together invested €14 million and created 211 new openings.
