IVC Malta, the St Julian’s-based vocational college, recently held an international conference to examine how intrapreneurship skills can be introduced to teams within local organisations.

Employees often see entrepreneurship as something that outsiders do. However, intrapreneurship is what added value employees do. All companies desire such employees as they empower growth.

Individuals are becoming more focused on what they want to achieve and to live their ideals and dreams, if they find the space to do that within the company that is definitely a win-win situation.

Prof. David Gray looked at the findings of a study conducted in the UK in SMEs where he discussed how key decisions were taken at vital timelines in business development and what triggers stimulated innovation and growth.

Johan Sloesen shared how perceptions of what we need to learn effects how innovative people are at the workplace. He looked at various educational models and how these encourage innovation.

Andrew Cousins discussed how online learning effects intra­­preneurship, how it is designed and implemented within various contexts and how these can stimulate growth of the individual.

Stefan Morrow tackled IT and intrapreneurship, how this is constantly developing and as a result the intrapreneurship needs of the workplace have evolved.
