Artists from different countries will be taking part in a series of workshops around Malta from April 29 to May 5.

Hailing from Zimbabwe, Jamaica, the US, the UK, Sicily and Tenerife, the artists will share their skills with young people in 12 schools (primary and secondary) and also at St James Cavalier in Valletta.

The programme of events, organised by St James Cavalier in collaboration with the Womad Foundation, will be packed with creative music making, carnival arts, DJing, mixing and sampling, print-making, digital arts and much more.

Workshops throughout the week will lead to a grand defilé on May 5 with all the artists, children and young people displaying their talents. Leaving from St James Cavalier at 2pm, the participants will walk through the streets of Valletta, the event coming to a close with a final celebratory showcase at the opera house site.
