Home Affairs Minister Emanuel Mallia yesterday sought to set Opposition leader Simon Busuttil’s mind at rest that all interceptions by the Malta Security Services over the past year had been validly authorised.

Assuring Dr Busuttil that all had been done within the framework of legislation regulating interceptions, Dr Mallia appealed to him to raise such questions at meetings of the Security Committee, on which he sat.
