Inter have completed the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Hernanes from Serie A rivals Lazio late last night. Hernanes had put pen to paper to a three-and-a-half year contract after completing a medical yesterday.
Hernanes said that it was his decision to leave Lazio and join Inter.
“I told the (Lazio) president that I want to leave because I want to improve from a professional standpoint,” he said.
“I want to thank the president (Claudio Lotito) for his attempts in trying to convince me to stay until the last minute.
“This is my decision.”
