I had to smile when I read the article ‘Concern as insurance claims on roads soar’ (The Sunday Times of Malta, April 12).
What was not mentioned is that some Maltese drivers must be among the worst in the world, and I have driven in many countries.
Many drivers here are impatient, tailgate, don’t signal, clog up roundabouts, speed and drive cars which should be on the junk heap.
To enter the Marsa roundabout is like entering a Grand Prix. It’s not unusual for me to see more than one accident a day.
What is needed is more of a police presence and more traffic calming.
