A show by a troupe of acrobats from Inner Mongolia is to be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on Friday in collaboration with the China Cultural Centre.

Twenty-seven artistes will present acrobatics, dancing and singing. Many of these acts have won international and national awards. The acrobatic team Kicking Bowls Riding Elevated Monocycles and the Dancing Scent Of Milk were presented with gold awards at the 13th International Acrobatic Competition in Paris and the International Mongolian Dance Competition respectively.

Some of the items that will be presented including khoomei, which is a form of throat singing, and Mongolian long song, which is a central element of the traditional music of Mongolia, are recognised by Unesco as masterpieces of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity.

Tickets can be bought from the MCC booking office by calling 2559 5750/1 or through www.mcc. com.mt.
