I would like to ask Senglea local council whether it believes a loaded fuel tanker passing through the marina front full of people – as happened on Saturday, June 11 at 8pm – poses a danger in the event of something happening to the tanker.

To be precise, more than just one tanker passed through the marina when it was packed with so many people.

This question was raised by the Friends of Cottonera Forum to the Senglea council and competent authority who were contacted by e-mail on June 13. However, we are still waiting for an answer.

Tragic accidents have taken place abroad when such lorries or tankers have passed through populated areas.
