In the five years I have been living in Malta, this is the worst time in terms of the bus service.

I read in the Times of Malta that the operator was planning to use 33 more buses in summer but what is really happening is that there are fewer buses on the Valletta-St Julian’s route and, again, most of them are completely full, with drivers refusing to take on more passengers.

The other day, it took me 40 minutes to get a bus from near the Strand. The only one that arrived during that period was full up.

Friends of mine are going exactly through the same experience. Malta, a country that lives mostly from tourism, is very badly served with this public transport company. Not to mention the rudeness and dangerous driving of many of its employees.
