I read with interest the incident in which a man was alleged to have stolen some items of perfume from a branch of the Body Shop chain by secreting them down his trousers.
To protest and prove his innocence he dropped his trousers (but only after putting the items back on the shelf from where he had taken them, it was claimed by staff) and therefore, along with this attempted theft, gained another charge, that of indecent exposure.
Irrespective of whether this latter charge is justified (as indecent exposure is the deliberate intent to expose oneself for some form of sexual gratification or to inflict shock) I would suggest that the Body Shop strike while the iron is hot and market a new scent by the name of Lovers’ Indecent Exposure – as this evokes boudoir private moments between such (or is that just evocative for me?).
For the alleged thief I suggest he would have been better served had he started using the male fragrance by Calvin Klein – Escape for Men!
