Finance Minister Tonio Fenech yesterday told Labour MP Noel Farrugia that there were 2,792 companies that still owed the government €24.3 million for income tax and social security contributions for the current year.

Mr Fenech told Mr Farrugia that these consisted of €8.7 million in income tax and €15.5 million in social security contributions.
