This year, the Gżira local council set out to change the way the Locality Day is being celebrated, aiming to achieve inclusion and cohesion of the multi-ethnical/cultural community that the village is all about.

To achieve this, the council gathered feedback from an artistic point of view through an art competition organised between all schools located within Gżira, resulting in a variety of submissions.

Gżira primary school is host to students from 18 different nationalities.

The feedback received will be a celebration made by people for the people, fused with the Parish Day celebrations, spiced up with arts, culinary delights and entertainment.

This event is being held in Manoel De Vilhena Street and Carlo Manché Street today from 5 to 11pm.

Participation is free of charge.
