Hibernians winger Clayton Failla’s consistent performances at the latter stages of 2011 won him the BOV player of the month award for December.
This is Failla’s second award of the season after being voted best player for October.
Failla’s positive displays have helped Hibs keep up the pressure on league leaders and champions Valletta.
The Malta international, who rejoined Hibernians from Sliema Wanderers in the close season, has also been finding the net regularly this season as his strike against Birkirkara in December brought his tally in the Premier League to nine goals.
Tanya Gravina, from Bank of Valletta’s Marketing Department, presented the BOV player of the month trophy to Failla before Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash between Hibs and Valletta, which ended 1-1.
Failla has donated the cash prize associated with this award to Puttinu Cares.
