IT students can benefit from a bolstered student placement programme this summer.
The programme, co-financed by the Malta Information and Technology Agency and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, pairs students with employers for temporary work placements during the summer recess.
The 12-week programme will run between July and September with a 30-hour work week focusing on business analysis, networks and software development. Applicants will be compensated €5.50 per hour.
Students following an IT or IT-related course at University, Mcast or at any private training provider, should apply for a summer placement by June 16.
Students awaiting results may also apply. Applications will only be accepted through an electronic form available from www.mita.gov.mt/spp.
Employers interested in participating can e-mail spp.mita@gov.mt.
