On visiting my two favourite Siġġiewi village stores the other day, in search of fresh supplies of ice cream, I discovered one ice cream freezer to be empty while another had been removed from the shop completely.

On asking why, I was politely informed that nobody buys ice cream in Siġġiewi once October starts and that if I were patient, I could have some in May.

Is this as a result of the global climate change?
