I must finally concur with Mark Vella Bonnici’s (October 22) line of thought that hunters are simply exhibiting their hunting instincts just like our feline friends. He compares the instinctual drive of cats to attack prey to the undeniable, insatiable natural hunting instinct to hunt birds. Animal lovers should understand.

However why stop there? Shouldn’t local councils make sure that cat cafés are fully accessible and adequately provide safety to our hunters? I would like to take SPCA and other animal organisations to task for not providing necessary shelter for stray hunters.

Alas, should we not ponder neutering schemes as well?
