We are a company in Malta who need to fly our personnel to the mainland. The other day I tried to book a flight to The Netherlands with Air Malta, leaving on November 12 and returning on the 16th.

The charges for this trip came up to €895. Flights on the same date with Ryanair, including priority booking and 20kg of luggage, came up to €195. Booking a rental car (Mercedes) in The Netherlands for four days added another €357.

Can anybody explain how it is that flying with Ryanair and renting a car is still €343 cheaper than just booking an Air Malta flight? We are a corporate client with Air Malta, booking an average of 12 to 15 flights a month. The mentioned ticket price is not an exception and is seriously influencing our business. It is getting too expensive to mobilise people for work in our sector.
