The House of Representatives yesterday paid tribute to former MP Emidio Caruana who passed away earlier this month. He was 89.

Mr Caruana served in the House between 1962 and 1966 in the interest of the Christian Workers Party. He was elected in a casual election for the post vacated by CWP leader Toni Pellegrini. Deputy Prime Minister Tonio Borg and Deputy Leader of the Opposition Anġlu Farrugia spoke of Mr Caruana as a man of integrity and together with Speaker Michael Frendo gave their condolences to the Caruana family.
