Figures released by the Hong Kong Tourism Board show that visitor arrivals to Hong Kong reached over 30 million in the first three-quarters of 2011, 16.2 per cent higher when compared to the same period a year ago. In September alone, arrivals climbed up by 16.8 per cent year-on-year to 3,187,091.
