I recently came to live in Malta permanently from Cape Town, in South Africa.

After doing my shopping at a local supermarket, I went into various shops and familiarised myself with the area around the Sliema shopping centre. One of the shops visited was the Marks & Spencer outlet. When I got home, I realised my mobile was missing. Needless to say, I retraced my steps back to all the shops and supermarket I had visited. No mobile phone! I went to the final shop I had been to: Marks & Spencer.

My phone had been handed in by one of the young supervisors. I had dropped it in the dressing room. All my banking details, names and addresses, pin numbers, confidential mail from my computer was on my phone.

It was a lesson to me: no more confidential info on my phone.

Thanks for honest human beings. Most of all, thanks for Marks & Spencer. This would never happen in South Africa.

I am very grateful.
