The concert is being held today at St George Basilica, Victoria, at 8pm. Entrance is free.

Exhibition in Mosta

As part of its annual activities, the Culture Commission of the Nicolò Isouard Philarmonic Society is holding a Holy Week exhibition in the club premises – a much sought-after exhibition by enthusiasts and those who visit Mosta during this time of year.

This year’s exhibition is having a different set-up: apart from the miniature Good Friday statues (modelled on those in the Rotunda) which are displayed in a purposely-built chapel, the exhibition is also featuring works of sacred art by a young statuary from Mosta, Shawn Saliba, under the title Mulier Ecce Filius Tuus.

One can also visit the Sala San Ġorġ Preca in the same premises, which is decorated specifically for Holy Week.

On Good Friday, chairs will be available before the club premises for visitors to watch the procession while seated. These can be booked in advance during the exhibition days.

The exhibition is open at the Nicolò Isouard Band Club, Main Street, Mosta, from today to April 14 (Good Friday). On weekdays, it is open in the evening from 5pm to 8.30pm. On Palm Saturday and Sunday, it is also open in the morning from 10am to noon. The same opening times apply for Maundy Thursday with the evening times extended till 11.30pm. On Good Friday, the exhibition is open from 9am until noon and from 3.30pm until 8.30pm.
